29 Bakery: The Idea

For those who travel frequently for business and stay in hotels for extended periods, it can become tiresome after a while. As an entrepreneur, I experienced this myself for many years. Even though the reception is friendly, the beds are made fresh daily, and the breakfast is delicious, eventually one wants to enjoy their free time in a private atmosphere, surrounded by personal belongings, lying in their own bedding, cooking in peace – and not worrying about who walked barefoot on the carpet last or where the next restaurant is.

1912 Bakery Building

That's where the idea of offering apartments for business people came to mind, where one can immediately feel at home. I know what is required for this, based on my personal experience. When the opportunity arose in 2016 to purchase the 1912-built bakery building from the Klossika family, we didn't hesitate. The bakery on the ground floor, the master bakers apartment on the upper floor, and the rooms for the apprentices and maids on the top floor were all ideal for realizing our dream of an apartment building. It was crucial for us to maintain the special flair of the Wilhelminian era.

Love for old Buildings

As an architect, it's close to my heart to preserve old buildings and harmoniously blend them with new, modern elements. This creates living spaces with a unique charm that characterizes our 29 Bakery. This symbiosis is also reflected in the name: a tribute to the traditional bakery building on Beyerstraße 29, which was in family hands for over a hundred years. We named the apartments after the residents, owners, and builder. We're happy and proud that this wonderful house is now a modern home for our tenants.

Warm Welcome to 29 Bakery

Giving bread and salt as a housewarming gift is an old tradition. It signifies prosperity, stability, and a good community. It's also believed to protect the residents from evil spirits. We gladly embrace this custom, especially since it fits perfectly with the old bakery where you will be living.

Feel warmly welcome and enjoy the bread.
